KCP-BAMBANG DONATES RECOVERED CHAIRS TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY NEEDS

Resource Recovery Initiative Promotes Reuse and Waste Reduction

As part of its commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management, King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, Inc. donated 70 serviceable chairs to the Bambang Evangelical Alliance Church on January 30, 2026.

The chairs were recovered during the institution’s junkshop segregation and materials recovery operations. While sorting items initially intended for disposal, several chairs were assessed and found to be functional and suitable for continued use. Instead of being treated as waste, the chairs were set aside for community support and reuse.

A total of 70 chairs, including monoblock chairs and armchairs, were donated to benefit the church and its activities. This initiative prevented usable furniture from being discarded, supported local community needs, and promoted waste diversion through resource recovery.

The donation highlights the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability, waste reduction, and social responsibility. By extending the life cycle of reusable materials, KCP-Bambang continues to strengthen its efforts toward sustainable campus operations and meaningful community engagement.
