KCP-BAMBANG STRENGTHENS CAMPUS GREENING THROUGH FRUIT SEEDLING RETRIEVAL

Partnership with the Department of Agriculture Supports Sustainability Initiatives

As part of its continuing commitment to environmental sustainability and campus greening, King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, Inc., through the Pollution Control Office, successfully retrieved fruit tree seedlings from the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office No. 2, Nueva Vizcaya Experiment Station (NVES) in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya on March 23, 2026.

The activity was conducted following the approval of the institution’s request for planting materials to support upcoming tree planting and environmental conservation initiatives. The retrieved seedlings, consisting of Pomelo and Calamansi, are designated for planting in the campus UMA area, a cultivated space intended for agricultural and greening activities.

This initiative aims to enhance campus biodiversity, increase green spaces, and promote environmental awareness among students, faculty, and staff. It also reflects the institution’s efforts to integrate sustainable practices into campus operations while encouraging active participation in environmental stewardship.

The successful coordination with the Department of Agriculture further strengthened the institution’s partnership with government agencies in advancing environmental programs and sustainable development initiatives.

Through activities such as this, KCP-Bambang continues to invest in long-term greening efforts that contribute to a healthier, more sustainable, and environmentally responsible campus community.
