Information Technology Students Showcase Innovation in Digital Government Services
King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, Inc. proudly earned 2nd Runner-Up in the Kasal-Link System Innovation Challenge, held as part of the 37th Civil Registration Month celebration at the Solano Municipal Hall.
The award-winning Kasal-Link System was developed by fourth-year Information Technology students Sheldon Scott Iglesia, Ace Mark Acosta, and Bobby Angelo Caritativo. The system modernizes the marriage license application process by allowing applicants to submit information and required documents online, schedule appointments, and track application status.
The platform also helps Local Civil Registry personnel efficiently review applications, manage records, and monitor requests. Before the competition, the team conducted requirements gathering, system planning, design, development, testing, and final preparations.
The students officially presented and demonstrated the system on March 9, 2026, during the competition’s evaluation phase.
This achievement highlights the innovation, technical competence, and creativity of KCP-Bambang students in developing practical digital solutions for government services. It also reflects the institution’s commitment to empowering students toward transformation, excellence, and industry-relevant innovation.
