Promoting Campus Cleanliness Through Student Leadership and Volunteerism
Student leaders from various organizations of King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, Inc. joined a campus-wide clean-up drive on April 23, 2025. The activity supported preparations for the High School Department’s Moving-Up and Graduation Ceremony.
The clean-up drive formed part of the institution’s commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment. During the activity, participants swept walkways, collected waste, removed weeds, trimmed overgrown grass, and cleaned nipa huts and surrounding areas.
Moreover, student leaders officially adopted the name Kalinga sa Campus Program (KCP) for the initiative. They announced the program through OSAS Memorandum Circular No. 10, s. 2025, on April 21, 2025.
A total of 228 student leaders participated in the activity. The participants represented various student and Indigenous Peoples (IP) organizations from the College of Criminal Justice Education, College of Business and Management, College of Teacher Education, College of Information and Computing Sciences, and the High School Department.
Through teamwork and cooperation, the students improved campus cleanliness and environmental quality. In addition, the activity strengthened their sense of responsibility, leadership, and community involvement.
Furthermore, the memorandum establishes KCP as a monthly program. As a result, student leaders will continue to support campus maintenance and promote environmental stewardship throughout the school year.
The Kalinga sa Campus Program reflects the institution’s commitment to sustainability, volunteerism, and active student participation in caring for the environment.
