KCP STUDENTS JOIN PEACEFUL PROTEST AGAINST ILLEGAL MINING ACTIVITIES

Students, Educators, and Community Leaders Advocate for Environmental Protection

On November 28, 2025, students from King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, Inc. (KCP), together with participants from Saint Catherine’s School (SCS), Bambang National High School (BNHS), and Nueva Vizcaya State University–Bambang (NVSU), joined a peaceful protest against illegal mining activities. Faculty members and officials from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bambang also participated in the activity.

The peaceful demonstration aimed to amplify the collective voice of the community in opposing ongoing illegal mining activities and advocating for the protection of the environment and surrounding mountain ecosystems. Through this initiative, participants exercised their civic responsibility and expressed their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

In addition, a Human Chain Against Mining Activity was successfully conducted in coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) to ensure the safety and orderly participation of all attendees.

The activity highlighted the importance of community involvement in environmental advocacy and demonstrated a united commitment to safeguarding natural resources for present and future generations.
