Promoting Responsible Waste Management and Environmental Sustainability on Campus
King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, Inc. continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental sustainability through the implementation of a Centralized Waste Segregation System across the campus.
Spearheaded by the Pollution Control Office, the initiative introduced designated waste disposal points and properly labeled waste bins in strategic locations to encourage responsible waste management among students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
The project involved the relocation of waste bins from individual classrooms to centralized collection areas, making waste segregation more efficient and easier to monitor. In addition, color-coded waste bins were installed in key high-traffic areas to promote proper segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.
This initiative aims to improve waste management practices, increase environmental awareness, and encourage the school community to take an active role in maintaining a clean and healthy campus environment.
Through programs such as this, KCP-Bambang continues to support environmental stewardship and sustainability while fostering a culture of responsibility and care for the environment.
Together, let us practice proper waste segregation and contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
